MAINTENANCE

Yes it has to done and someone has to do it. One of the good things about a period of none navigation is that it gives me time and opportunity to carry out a bit of necessary regular maintenance and small improvements to Soraya. She is such a complex device diesel engines, generator, 4 battery systems, hydrophores, 5 different tankerages systems, filters, water softener, pumping systems, stern glands (yes it's still here), bow thrusters, inverters, charging systems, shore power and its isolators, wind generator, plus a miriad of domestic appliances and systems. There is always something to occupy me in the hivernage. Not to mention routine painting and varnishing which can only really take place in warmer weather.
